What Makes A Great Promotional Program?
Herculist has a free membership that enables you to post your advertisement once a week, your first message 24 hours after joining and you earn 25% per paid referral you sponsor. That's good, but with a Pro Membership ($49.95 per year or $9.95 per month) you can post every 48 hours, and earn 35% commissions from referrals. That's real good.

I personally confirmed with Herculist Manager, John Gloeckner that if I wasn't happy with the upgrade it was permissible to return as free member keeping everything I built up. I went for The Gold. The Gold Membership ($89.95 per year or $14.95 per month) allows you to post everyday and receive 50% on referrals! When I signed up there were over 6,500 members to email each day, now there is over 8,000. This was great exposure, plus the current offer of TWO FREE Smart-list solo ads and a FREE Lifetime Smart-list membership ($35.90 value) for joining Herculist as a Pro or Gold Member was a sweet deal! Remember my objective was advertising exposure - not what can I get for free. How This Works:
Before joining the various mailing services you will want to start an online mailing account. Most safelist memberships will ask for two email address; one for your main contact information or as I like to call it my administration contact and one to receive the mail from other list members.

One important consideration is you do not want emails to "bounce". This refers to an email coming back to the sender that the message cannot be delivered because the recipients mailbox is full or over quota. This is quite common with small free email services and is a big problem for on-line advertisers. It is usually noted as grounds for suspension so give yourself some breathing room with a good size email account.

The next step is to join programs from the recommended list in the left menu directory. Many are featured with a free/paid member option. If you are new to this aspect of internet marketing join as a free member, learn your way around and get comfortable with promoting your offer or web page. When you prove that you can make money as result of your advertising efforts, you will quickly want to upgrade to full membership to be able to send out everyday.

I personally use GATOR for keeping all my usernames and passwords available at the login prompts. Some sites can throw you a curve by assigning a username or password rather than one you can easily remember.

Now with your memberships established create an ad in Note Pad or another small text utility and you should also create a folder for your ads and save them. Use the text boxes in the top header of this page to paste an abbreviated ad should certain services have spots for small postings. Also paste your subject line and URL in the smaller boxes provided. This is for your convenience and does not submit any information. It is just to keep it available as you work through the various links.

When you get to the page that allows you to mail out to a safe list, classified ad or submit a link, simply copy your information from your text ad or back from the header boxes and paste. When you select another link to advertise at, your information will still be available.
